Not far away in the Vyborg region, on the 16th km along the Svetogorsk highway, there is a real village of the Vikings “Svargas”  situated. That is a kind of an open-air museum, where history returns to life before the visitors’ eyes. Those who wish to learn more about Vikings can forget of civilization here. Sven - the Senior Viking of “Svargas” is of help in it. That man namely welcomes guests and accompanies them throughout the excursion. Tourists are offered opportunity to change into the Vikings’ clothes. Males, dressed in armour, test themselves in the battle while females learn ancient trades. “Svenguard ” leads saturated life. Musical festivals, folk holidays, battle reconstructions are held here annually. The manor is visited by artists, writers and film crews.
