This year in Vyborg promises to be remembered by bright both interesting events and the holidays having not only all-Russian, but also the international status. We represent you an official calendar of cultural events which can be interesting  for you and your friends, partners and clients!

21.02 – 22.02 The State museum «Vyborg castle». The traditional "Fair of ancient crafts". You can buy unique products presented by clubs of historical reconstruction.  In program: the demonstration of a battle of knights. March - In the beginning of spring in park «Monrepo» romantic excursions are organized. You can visit it in advance.

29.05-30.05  «May Tree», The State museum «Vyborg castle». It is a medieval holiday in which any person interested can betake oneself to the past for a night– to feel like a 14th-15th century city-dweller, to try on an age-old dress or to take ancient dancing lessons.

05.06 - 6.06 The State museum «Vyborg castle». Days of the Lithuanian culture. Unique reconstruction of ancient crafts.  

19.06 – Musical festival «Door to summer» in park «Monrepo». Underground music.

19.06  - The ceremony devoted to the opening of a monument to Fedor Apraksin.  In program: the concert of the State Maryinsky Theater, beginning at 19-30.

03.07 “Vyborg`s sails”, the Town moorage. “Skerries breeze”, Bards song festival.  The yearly marine festival “Vyborg sails” takes place in Vyborg in July. The eye-catching sails parade and international regatta are onto its programe.

03.07 «Vyborg castle serenades» (jazz festival), The State museum «Vyborg castle». The most cultured, the most musical festival in which jazzmen from Russia and the near abroad traditionally take part.

08.07-09.07 Mariinsky Theatre Opera in the “White Night Stars” festival, The State museum «Vyborg castle». “White Night Stars” festival is well-known among dramatic art admirers as the famous Mariinsky Theatre traditionally participates in it.

09.07-11.07 «Monrepos parties»,  the Monrepos park. Chamber music festival

30.07 Festival of medieval culture «Vyborg`s thunder». Anna`s fortification.

30.07 – 31.07 «The Knight Castle. Middle Age Reconstruction» Historic military festival “Middle Age Reconstruction” is remarkable for its famous theatrical performances – every summer “knights” from all parts of Russia gather in Vyborg to dramatize large-scale fascinating fights and battles.

31.07 «Neptune in Vyborg», Water area of the Big ladle. Town celebration dedicated to the Navy Day.

«Rally Russia», international motor race. Date is specified

n July Vyborg hosts prestigious championship “Rally Russia”, one of the most important events in Russian automobile sport. Since 2007 Rally is part of the prestige IRC series calendar. Modern rally leaders, including Europe and World champions, are fighting for the victory in it. 

“Window to Europe” Russian cinema-festival. Date is specified

“Window to Europe” cinema-festival is also of Vyborg residence. It is famous far beyond the limits of the Russian Federation. Well-known actors, film-makers and producers arrive to Vyborg each August and stay here for a week to define the best ones among themselves. During this prestige demonstration cinema-goers may get acquainted with Russian cinema novelties, watch quality films and speak with film-stars.

27.11 The holiday of a medieval culture «Knut Posse and a magic potion». The reconstruction of real events, the demonstration of a battle of knights, medieval dances, degustation of a magic potion. Market square, restaurant "Round tower".
